State of the Republican Party

With things falling apart this is the first time in my life that Republicans are no longer considered a major party. Don’t get me wrong the party has some hopes in 09 but overall have a huge indentify problem. It’s like the Republican decisions makers are suffering from identity fraud, and simply can’t find the method or voice to return back to the big stage. I thought with the selection of Chairman Steele it would’ve put us back into positive waters, but instead we continue to float without much hope of shoring up anytime soon. Now with old party members having foot in mouth disease, and moderates flocking to the democratic and/or independent parties hope seems still to be without light as we continue to search for any sign of victory. There are a few issues that Americans still favor the GOP over the Dems.

Issues that Americans favor the GOP

  • Closing Gitmo
  • Dems Super Majority
  • National Security
  • Education

These issues open up the door for the Republican Party to gain seats in the midterm elections. Only time will tell if the GOP will keep the edge or lose yet another election cycle. But as I stated before there is still some promising signs in 09 for a Republican Comeback!
